Australian Bustard (Ardeotis australis)
Returning to Wildman Wilderness Lodge after visiting Shady Camp we were driving along the Point Stuart Road just past the turnoff to Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge when we suddenly came across a pair of Bustards crossing the road. Managed to stop, grab the camera and take a few shots. The female quickly went through the fence and headed off while the male stayed on our side long enough to get some decent images.
