Mary River National Park
A trip to the “top end” in July 2012 provided the opportunity to visit a number of locations including Darwin, Fogg Dam, Mary River, Kakudu, Katherine Gorge, Adelaide River and Litchfield NP.
We based ourselves for three nights at Wildman Wilderness Lodge, which proved an ideal location from which to explore the area along the Mary River including the Mary River National Park. Locations such as Rockhole, Corroboree Billabong, Couzens Lookout, Mistake Billabong and Shady Camp were well worth visiting. Birdlife was abundant in many of these locations. The following birds were photographed in this region in early August.
