Australasian Pipit (Anthus novaeseelandiae)
Walking back to the accommodation at Wildman Wilderness lodge, just as the sun had set I came across this little guy running along in front of me. As the light was failing, and as I didn’t have the flash attached, I bumped the ISO up to 2000 to get a reasonable shutter speed. It was difficult to get a decent photo of him in the grass then all of a sudden he jumped up on a termite mound allowing a clearer shot.
